Yes, intentionally. The Lunar is made of fire steel. Over time, it develops a natural rust patina, which is desirable and doesn't affect its durability.

The inserts are simply placed into the central opening and held securely by their own weight or click-in points – without any screws or tools.

Can I use water to extinguish the fire?
No. Never pour water into the hot bowl—it could cause cracking or warping. Let the embers burn out or extinguish them with sand.

After use, simply let it cool down, remove any ash, and store it in a dry place. For longer shelf life, we recommend covering it.
