Which fuel is permitted?
Use only dry, natural hardwood. Do not use varnished wood, scraps, or flammable liquids!
Can I move the oven while in use?
No – the garden heater must never be moved while it is hot or in use. Risk of injury and fire!
What's the best way to extinguish the fire? No water!
It is best to let the fire burn down in a controlled manner or, in an emergency, to extinguish it with sand.
How do I clean the garden oven?
Let it cool completely, remove the ash by emptying the ash drawer, and then clean it with a damp cloth and store it in a dry place—ideally with a protective cover.
Does the garden oven develop rust?
Yes, that's intentional. The untreated steel develops a natural rust patina over time. This can be maintained with heat-resistant varnish or oil if desired.
Which fuels can I use?
Use only dry wood. No coal, flammable liquids, or chemical firelighters—these can be dangerous.
Are there any special features when heating up for the first time?
Yes – the oven must be fully preheated before first use. Allow several hours for this. After that, it's ready for use.
